Lenny Hoffman Excavating has installed the new water main for the entire project and this week filled, pressure tested and chlorinated the new water main. Testing of the water is being done and we should have the test results by Monday. Once we have confirmation the test has passed, the contractor will begin transferring the individual water services for each home from the old main to the new main. The morning of the work, the contractor will knock on your door to notify you of the pending water shutoff and give you ample time to use your water. The shutoff will last for 2 to 4 hours on average. Once installed, they will ask you to flush your system, and if no one is home, they will use an outside hose bib connection to flush the new service. If you have discolored water, please open your faucets and flush out the lines and the water should clear up.
